Today I made the mistake of changing the Little Monster’s diaper BEFORE feeding her. Most of the time when I do this, she tells me VERY CLEARLY that she does not approve. She is CLEARLY telling me she is hungry, why am I changing her diaper instead?
During this moment, I think of my mom telling me about my bad temper when I was younger. Has she inherited this trait from me? Oh dear…
We’ve agreed that Elle has Jack’s mouth and my nose. She has her father’s smelly farts and long fingers like her mom. But the rest, we’ve yet to discover.
This was a VERY popular topic of discussion before she was born. “I hope the baby has my eyes and your nose, your sense of direction, my math skills, your calm demeanor and my luck. She will be well-versed and awesome with her hands. Good at sports and even better at poker!”
Really, the only thing we know for sure is that she has Jack’s mouth and my nose. Everything else will be uniquely hers, and it will be fun to uncover these traits as she grows up.
