After you have a kid, you find that it’s the little things that really make your day. Stuff you thought was important before really isn’t.

These are now some of my favourite things:

1) Hearing the Little Monster babble in the morning before anyone wakes up. She stares up at the ceiling and just smiles and coos to herself.
2) Taking  the Little Monster out of her swaddling blanket and watching her stretch her arms out as if she’s preparing for a workout.
3) Trying to make her laugh by making a funny face or holding her high up in the air.
4) Seeing Jack and my baby fall back asleep on the bed, both looking oh-so-peaceful.
