Day 60 – That’s What She Said

Am pretty sure the Little Monster is picking up words now. Yes, it’s a little early, but she is using these words in context! See the following examples:

1) As I was struggling to pull her arm through her onesie, she distinctly said, “Uh oh.”
2) When I asked her a yes/no question, she replied, “Aye.”
3) She said “Hi” to me first thing in the morning once.

If this is not conclusive proof that my daughter is a baby prodigy, I don’t know what is. ;)

Day 26 – Dunstan Baby Language

Have you heard of Dunstan Baby Language? This woman on Oprah was born with a photographic memory for sound and claims to have uncovered the language spoken by babies 0 to 3 months old.

When she had her own baby, she picked up on the cries that he kept making when he was hungry, tired, etc. Later, she realized that other babies around the world made the same sounds for the same needs. Fascinating…

Neh = I’m hungry
Eh = burp me
Heh = I’m uncomfortable/cold/wet

Based on the Little Monster’s cries, she has an unbelievable amount of gas and needs to be burped 24/7. ;)
