My daughter’s fave new toy is an empty Timmies paper cup. Who needs expensive toys and gadgets?
I find it’s often the simplest things that she enjoys playing with. Even though every single toy out there seems to have flashing lights and music, kids really do just want to play with the box.
Elle is discovering the wonder that is Sophie the Giraffe. This $20 chew toy seems to be a favourite of many babies, which seemed very puzzling to me at first, but now I understand.
Her long slender neck and legs are easy to grab, unlike other toys. She can be chewed on in several places (ears, horns, legs). And she doesn’t fight back when Elle decides to thrash her around so that she can make that little squeaky Sophie noise. And, she’s pretty darn cute, too.
